Precision Single-Fiber Angular Adjustment
The YP 2-axis rotational system for positioning offers the highest resolution by
hand or actuator in its class. It is rugged and repeatable, easy to use, with superior
resolution - the Luminos YP2000 is the most advanced 2-axis manual positioning /
alignment system on the market. This 2-axis Yaw Pitch positioner is flexure based
with no frictional bearings. Our Ratio
Drive™ allows an incredible by hand resolution of 0.2 arc second in
Yaw and Pitch without touch sensitivity. The concurrent rotation point is projected
1 inch in front of the unit and ½ inch above for unobstructed access. This
tiny unit is only 1¾" wide and 1¼" high and weighs 480grams
without micrometers or actuators.
Automation
With this new design, upgrading to automation is easy and inexpensive. The
standard stepper motor option
provides 0.2 arc second resolution on both the pitch and yaw axes.
A kit (Part#:ACTKIT) is required for each automated positioner. It includes a software
CD, a power adapter, a USB serial port adapter (in case your PC has no serial ports
available) and the necessary cables. The CD includes ActiveX/COM software which
provides a simple interface from LabVIEW 6i/8+/2010, Visual Basic 6, Visual C++
6.0, or any .NET language.
