The CORALIGN™ portfolio of fiber optic switches uses a patented moving fiber design that physically aligns optical fibers directly fiber-to-fiber across an air or oil-filled gap, eliminating lenses, mirrors, or intermediate optical components. This direct coupling approach achieves some of the lowest insertion losses in the industry — down to as low as ~0.01 dB in multimode configurations and ~0.2 dB in singlemode — and makes the switches inherently wavelength independent and capable of handling high-power signals without degradation. CORALIGN™ switches are suited for critical test, measurement, signal routing and instrumentation systems encountered in spectroscopy, communications, research labs and automated optical platforms.
